Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter to train with an established highly skilled engineering team within a world-renowned precision engineering company. The apprentice will be trained in machine maintenance, repair and problem solving. Added to this the apprentice will receive full training in the use of high precision machinery in line with the apprenticeship and business deliverables.
Successful applicants will be registered with SOLAS and begin a 7-phase apprenticeship.
Responsibilities & Duties
Installation, service, maintenance, fault rectification of process plant, machine tools, power and production equipment
Component fabrication by Turning, Milling, Welding, Cutting, Machining, Drilling, Reaming and Pipe Fabrication
Machine setting/adjustment of control system elements, including computerisation and system programming
Keep equipment and related areas clean and tidy; follow 6s guidelines
Any other duties as reasonably required
Reporting to: Maintenance Engineer
Person/Skills Required
The minimum education requirement for this position is Junior Certificate (min Grade D in five subjects), preferably including Engineering
