Overview
Join Bellurgan Precision Engineering as Operations Manager and take a key leadership role in driving operational excellence across our precision manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who wants to make a real impact at a senior level. You will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Post-Production, and Shipping, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to deliver on our business strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
Third-level Engineering qualification or equivalent, with at least 7 years' industry experience at management level in the manufacturing sector
Experience of business partnering at a senior level
Experience of managing technical teams
Experience in implementing and leading continuous improvement projects
Experience in Operational Health and Safety
Responsibilities & Duties
Commercial leadership
Drive and champion the business strategy as a member of the Bellurgan Senior Management Team
Evaluate, model and analyse commercial initiatives and proposals, supporting senior management decision-making
Partner with the wider business to achieve targets and drive efficiencies; lead on cross-functional business projects and strategic continuous improvement initiatives
Deliver improved production efficiency; ensuring products are produced on time, to excellent quality standards and within budget
Production and resource management
Build, develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Lead and develop managers and supervisors by integrating planning, engineering, and production to create a focused team, whilst balancing productive headcount
Analyse KPIs such as: Production output, Scrap rates, Machine downtime, On-time delivery
Promote team and professional development to support growth
People management
Optimise employee engagement and motivation
Any other duties as reasonably required

Excellent business acumen and strong commercial awareness
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the organisation and externally with customers/suppliers
Confident at challenging the status quo and in influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
